When ever I click on the Sql Search icon, the cursor changes to a busy icon in SSMS and after a second SSMS closes.
I have downloaded and reinstalled the latest Sql Search and SSMS. Same issue.
On Windows 10. What to do?

I have the same issue. Going to try reverting to a previous version of SSMS
-
I installed 19.0.2 and the problem went away.
-
I was wrong. Still crashing SSMS
-
After uninstalling SQL Search, rebooting and then reinstalling, it seems to be working. Still have not gone back to SSMS 19.1.x yet

Hi @chj124
Thank you for your last reply on this.
Just to check, do you have any other Redgate applications installed?
If you also try uninstalling SQL Search (using the MS removal tool), rebooting your machine and reinstalling SQL Search, does SSMS still continue to crash? -
I do not have any other Redgate products, i did try uninstall/reinstall and no change
-
Crashing here as well.

Hi All,
Could you confirm what version of SQL Search you are using? Also where you downloaded?
Could you try this version and let me know if it still errors? https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLSearch/SQLSearch_3.6.3.3612.exe -
