Can I make Sql prompt overwrite snippets with new definition.

Can I make Sql prompt overwrite snippets with new definition? I am on 10.12.4.29949.
When I create a snippet with the same name, Sql prompt asks if I want to overwrite the old definition.
I answer yes, but Sql prompt ends up creating copies.
Moreover, all old copies show up in the suggestion popup with the same names in random order. I have to guess which one is the current one and actually click one of them only to find out that it is an old definition.

My temporary solution is to go to the snippets folder, list them in time order, and delete old ones. But is there a better way? There is a thread, but no answer.

    Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this!

    I have also been able to replicate the behavior you are seeing with Snippets in SQL Prompt, it does appear to be a bug in the application.

    I will be escalating this to our development team for their input on this. I will come back to you on this again as soon as I can.

    I'm also dealing with this issue. And it seems like its been an open issue since 2021. Do you have a timeline for when the development team might solve it? Thanks!

    This is still currently on our development teams' list of work to look at. I'm afraid I don't yet know when this is due to be worked on, however I will keep a close eye on this and will let you know as soon as I have an update.

    Just to advise that there is a fix for this due to be included in the next release of SQL Prompt. I'm not sure yet when this version will be made available for download, however we will be in contact again as soon as we have more information.

    Just to confirm that the latest version of SQL Prompt (v.10.13.4 - https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLPrompt/SQLPrompt_10.13.4.32349.exe) includes a fix for this issue.
