Hello,
I need help configuring SQL backup to save backup to AWS S3 bucket. I found some document that explain the process but it involves saving the backup locally or on a network share with an option to upload to AWS S3 bucket.
Would it be possible to save directly to AWS?
Thanks,
Redha

It isn't possible to back up directly to an AWS S3 storage directly using SQL Backup. All backup files need to be saved locally or on a network share before it can be uploaded to a cloud storage service.

Is this still the case? SQL 2022 now backs up to S3 natively…

I am trying for the first time to setup Redgate Sql Backup to backup to AWS S3 bucket. I found a document that explain the process but it states that the backup is saved locally or a network share and then can be uploaded to an S£ bucket. Can the backup be done directly to AWS?
Thanks
