"Cannot Check for Updates" Error (SQL PROMPT 10.6.6.18829)

When I try to check for SQL prompt updates on SSMS, I get the following error:

Nothing more informative than this message. I'm running SQL PROMPT 10.6.6.18829 on SSMS v18.9.1 in Windows 10.
Thanks,

F.

    Hi @Fadi

Thanks for your post.  I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with Check for updates.

Please can you make sure you have access to the Redgate endpoints for updates listed in the article below?

I have this too. I've checked all the endpoints and have access to them all.

Same here, get /!\ Error: Cannot check for updates., SQL Source Control, works, but not SQL Test, SQL History.

I still have this same error even after upgrading to the latest version of SqlToolBelt. SQL Test and SQL Source Control claim to check for updates and find none, SQL History and SQL Change Automation say they can't check.

I know this post is pretty old, but I too have been encountering this issue. I was able to work around it by launching SSMS as an administrator and running the check for updates under the elevated session.
