Error opening deadlock.xdl file

I downloaded deadlock xdl file from Alerts - Deadlock(extended event)  page .
When I try opening the file from SSMS v18.9.1 I receive the error: 
"Failed to initialize deadlock control.
 There is an error in XML document(1,2)
  <event xmlns=""> was not expected".

The error raises for each file that I tried to open

    Hi @giumaRE

    Thank you for letting us know, we think we've found where the issue is - with a bit of code that should be processing the XML when you click download that doesn't appear to be doing its job.

    I'll update here further when I have confirmation of a fix, and the version it is available in.
