I have a lot of experience with Accessibility with web-applications, less on the other side. SO for thinks like MOnitor etc I'd be more than willing to participate

Amazing, thanks Mitchel. Will be in touch

I used to beta test products for colour blindness at a software company. Happy to help out in this area

Hi Tim,
Do you test using any screen reader products and if so which ones? -
Hey Dave,
Nothing formally at the moment. Part of the intention of setting up a community of practice is to pick a set of standard tooling and processes for this.Getting started proving a little slower than expected (as always...), but with any luck I'll have some more updates to this in a few weeks.

For those of you that haven't met me yet, I'm Tim, part of the PM team.
In the last 6 months or so we've been talking more and more in the product division about accessibility within our tooling. We've seen improvements in products (Prompt, Monitor), had sessions devoted to the topic at Level Up week, and most recently ran a Friday afternoon Open Space dedicated to planning our next actions.
One of the actions that came up was to start an Accessibility Community of Practice within the division. The group will be looking at improving our testing in this area, and how and where we could most effectively improve our products to become more accessible.
We have some very knowledgeable people within the division already and recently chatted to some external experts too. I also wanted to post here to see if there's anybody within the FoRG group with experience or skills in the area that would like to join us and get involved?
Thanks in advance everybody. Feel free to reply here or ping me an email directly so we can have a chat. Parenting permitting I'll also try and drop in for FoRG drinks next week so we can chat then too.
Merry (almost...) Christmas!
Tim
