Is there any change coming for licensing RDS SQL Server monitoring?

I stopped being able to use SQL Redgate Monitor for monitoring RDS because they are now consuming a full license. I was hoping for an increased ratio similar to the 5 for 1 license in Azure.

Since I already have performance insights enabled and am paying through AWS for this, it's a hard sell to spend a full license for a single RDS instance for me.

    Hi, in terms of Azure offerings, Managed Instances are the closest in terms of capabilities, and so we licence RDS in the same way, ie a machine licence. This is unlikely to change in the near future.
