The ports 8080 and 7399 are not related to the connection to the entity that you add to be monitored - those are for the internal workings of SQL Monitor (8080 for accessing the website, 7399 is how the base monitor is communicated to by the website).
For the firewall requirements for the monitored entities, please see this page: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/configuring-sql-monitor/adding-servers-to-monitor/adding-servers-on-a-different-network-from-your-base-monitor/firewall-requirements for more information on the firewall ports needed. The default method is WMI over DCOM, so if you did not specifically change to WMI over WinRM you would need to follow that section.

after installation the software SQLMonitor and according with your tutorials and advice we needed to configure the server machines. In this step, we are facing problem with configuration monitored servers. Monitoring status is Unreachable / Cannot connect with exception message The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA).
We already have made some procedures as such:
- Check RCP if is running on Firewall and Regidit.
- Check the configurations from one server already configured.
- Check the firewall permissions;
- Check the ports. During the instalation we provide the followign prots: 8080 and 7399.
Could you be so kind and advise what can we do to make it work?
Kind Regards,
