SQL Backup encryption details

Hello Redgate,

what type of encryption is implemented when encryption is used inside the backup process besides the encryption strength 128 or 256 bit. Is it a blowfish encryption?
We need this for a ISO 27001 certification process.

    Thank you for your forum post.

    SQL Backup uses AES encryption alogthrim to encrypt the backup file as part of the backup process.
