What is causing the procedure RG_WhatsChanged_v4 to repeat

I am running a stored procedure that updates a table that used to take seconds to run before installing Source Control and now takes over 40 minutes. It is updating over 100,000 records
I ran profiler and it seem to keep running RG_WhatsChanged_v4 over and over. 

Am I missing a setting in Source Control?

    By default SQL Source Control run that script to show which objects has changed in the object explorer. You can disable this option if you want or adjust the polling frequency in the Options dialog.
