Hi Friends of Redgate,
I'm happy to announce that we shipped version 0.0.2 of SQL Prompt in Azure Data Studio a few days ago. If you're not already using it, you can download it from https://download.red-gate.com/EAP/SQLPromptADS.zip
We've also put in a check for updates mechanism so you'll be notified of new versions as soon as they come out.
If you have any feedback, we'd love to hear it. Please drop the team an email at sqlprompt.in.ads@red-gate.com.
Thanks,
Tom Walsh -

@TomW - Are there future plans to add Mac support? I'm consulting at a company with ~100 .NET/SQL Server devs who are transitioning to using Macs (for a number of reasons, some good, some not).
They are RedGate SQL Toolbelt users today and want a better database experience for Mac that they were used to on Windows. They have looked at DataGrip but have been underwhelmed compared to what they're used to with SSMS + RedGate products. Right now they are running Parallels almost exclusively because they use it do their database work.

Hi @ScottSauber
Sorry for the delayed reply. Cross platform support is definitely something we're investigating for the future, but our current focus is building out the core extension on Windows.
Interesting that your colleagues have been underwhelmed by DataGrip. I'm a big fan of JetBrains products myself but haven't yet had a chance to play with it. Are there particular areas in which DataGrip falls down?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Friends,
I’m excited to announce that we have just launched a new Early Access Program for testing SQL Prompt in Azure Data Studio (ADS).
We’d love the Friends of Redgate to get involved in the early stages of testing one of our most popular tools in ADS, and be part of a forward-thinking group of SQL Prompt users working closely with us to help develop SQL Prompt in a brand-new IDE.
Join the program
After signing up, we’ll provide you with early access to our ADS extension in return for regular feedback on your experience through surveys and optional research calls.
The program will be running for the next few months, and we encourage you to give us feedback on your experience any time during the EAP by emailing sqlprompt.in.ads@red-gate.com.
The program is currently open to SQL Prompt customers who use or are happy to start using ADS on Windows.
Feel free to email us or comment below with any questions.
Thanks,
Jess
