Are there any best practices for migration-based deployments?

We're using TFS to build and Octopus to deploy. We'd like to incorporate any SQL Change Automation best practices that may be out there to ensure our development team make best use of the tool.

Any advice, suggestions, good (and bad) habits etc?

Once you've have SQL Change Automation project up running, you can try to automate the deployment by following the instructions stated on bellow page:
