Is it possible to compare tables which are logically similar but have different table names using Data Compare 7.1. I've looked at the "Remap Objects" tab, but can't see how it can be done

Thanks for the link. In your example, when you remap a table both source and destination tables have the same name "WidgetPrices". I would like to copy data from "WidgetPrices" into say "WidgetPricesNew" and I can't see how the "Map" diakog allows me to to do that

Try
- Make sure both tables are unmapped (select them in the top pane and click unmap)
- Select WidgetPrices on the left of the bottom pane
- Select WidgetPricesNew on the right of the bottom pane
- Click map.

Thanks for that. I've managed to do it where the two tables are in the same database. A suggestion that the user interface could be a bit more explicit in future versions.
