How the SQL monitor pulls the data from SQL server? What method being used for this?

I need to know the exact process happening in the background when we configure the SQL monitor for our servers. I mean how the data gets pulled by the SQL monitor from servers?

Does it uses any agents for this? What API does it use to pull the data from the servers?

Hi @sachin_86,

SQL Monitor uses SQL Queries and WMI to gather information from the monitored entities and the host machines. It does this remotely without an agent.
