I have a number of tables that have their data imported from CSV files. It appears the absolute path to these files are saved in the project which it makes it difficult for others to use, or for automation. How can I set the path to these files relative to the root project?

Avella I'm afraid this is not possible at the moment in Data Generator. This is a known feature request whose reference number is SDG-913. I'll check with the development team if there is an update. However, I don’t want to get up your hopes too much as it's been on their backlog for a while.

@Avella
It doesn't look like something the team will start on any time soon, so please keep an eye on the release note for any updates in the future. -
Thats really unfortunate. Given the cost and age of this software, having poor coding practices such as hard coded pathing seems indicative of future support.

Is there anywhere we can vote on this feature? It adds a level of difficulty in using the product that really should not exist.

For anybody stuck by this issue, I worked around it by getting my dev team to use symbolic links to keep a hard coded path in data generator, but allow for the variations on the devs local setups.
The following link explains symlinks quite well. https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/ -
