Hi.
I noticed in the reporting section that there is a metric for log space used %. I'm trying to find a metric for the data file usage %, but cannot seem to find it. If it isn't available, this would be really useful in diagnosing when and how data files are growing in regard to the file size set.
Is there a metric for this?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi @robinw,
You're right, there is total data file size and total data file used size, but not one as a percentage as there is for the log file and I'm not sure why this might be the case.
There is an alert for Database file usage which you can set to alert at a specific percent full (or space or time remaining until full): https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm9/alerts/list-of-alerts
Also, there are a few custom metrics which may help with what you want in the storage section: https://sqlmonitormetrics.red-gate.com/tag/storage/
There is also the larger Disk usage section on the Estate tab related to planning for growth of stored data into the future.
I hope that helps but if none of those seem to cover what you need please do raise a uservoice suggestion: https://sqlmonitor.uservoice.com/forums/91743-suggestions/filters/top
Kind regards,
