Restore 2008 r2 transaction log on SQL 2016 Server using redgate backup tool

Dear members,
I'm looking to load 2008r2 primary servers seed file into a secondary SQL Server 2016 but otherthan Norecvoery (Non-Operational) for restore i cant use any other mode (Operational or Read-Only).

I need this ssecondary server for reporting reasons, would it be possible to configure Redgate restore to do a daily transactional log restore and make database read-only.

    Hi Eagnar,

    WITH STANDBY is only supported when both databases are the same version and you will need to use WITH NORECOVERY, replication of some sort, or a SQL Server instance of the same version.
