Am I missing how to find errors in the error window?

So I had errors when deploying a project.  In the error window, I see a "compact" error message, not detailed one.
Tool tip displayed the detailed error message.  How to see detailed error message without having to effectuate the tooltip?

    I don't think there's way to do that.
    We're just showing a compact message because it is quite long and we're also grouping all the errors for that action on that tooltip.

    The Output window (lower pane by default), is the one to use. There's a drop down in there, and you typically want the Build or General items selected, depending on what you're doing. A deploy usually results in a build, so be sure to check that.

    VS usually switches this for you,but if you have it set to your VCS or something else, you might not notice.
