Trying to change my red gate workbase folder to another path

Followed the 

https://documentation.red-gate.com/soc5/configuring/move-the-working-base to move work base folder to another path.I configured target path in RedGate_SQLSourceControl_Engine_EngineOptions.xml. After that am when i tried to open SSMS to link my database to source control that time the path is getting erased automatically from the file.

Used tools Red gate source control,TFS ,SSMS.

Is there any other way to create work folder on my local machine without using visual studio.

    Which version of SQL Source Control are you using?

    I tested it with the latest version 6.3 and it works.

    Make sure you restart SSMS after adding the <WorkingPath> inside the RedGate_SQLSourceControl_Engine_EngineOptions.xml file and unlink and relink your database.
