SQL source control commit is too slow

I downloaded the latest version and set it up for the first time with SVN. I am really disappointed at the performance. The commit has been running for over an hour, keeps showing 99% complete for last one hour. Is there anything I can do to make it commit faster?

    Do you have any encrypted objects? like store procedures

    Thanks for your post. 

    Just to say that unfortunately there isn't a way to improve performance while committing. While it's possible to improve the general performance, for example by reduce the poling frequency, it's not possible to do this during the committing of changes.

    I'll assume you have a pretty large code base.  I work over VPN and some checkins take 5 minutes to complete.  Just enough time to browse reddit for 45 5 minutes. :D
