To clarify, this is version 9.0.6.3580

Another clarification. This was installed from the MSI file directly.

Hi @MattiasG ,
Thanks for posting and sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We are not aware of this issue and couldn't reproduce it on our local machine.
Have you managed to uninstall SQL Prompt?
Can you please try to uninstall the corrupted installation using Microsoft FixIt tool from this link:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
Or the free ReveUnininstaller may help: https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
It has proven to work: https://forum.red-gate.com/discussion/comment/149041#Comment_149041 -
Hi Tianjiao Li,
Yes, it was a virtual machine so I just reverted it. I could also just install SQL Management Studio 2017 again and while it was installed, I could uninstall SQL Prompt fine.
No biggie, thanks.

When I went to uninstall again, I first removed SQL Management Studio 2017 and then SQL Prompt 9.
SQL Prompt 9 says "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010+ or SQL Server Management Studio 2012+ is required". I understand this message during install, but it pops up during uninstall. That must be a bug. Surely, I can't be stuck with this product because I uninstalled in a certain order?
Thanks!
