Can I use SQL Server Express 2014 to host the SQL Monitor Database?

I need to setup a separate instance of SQL Server to host the SQL monitor database to completely segregate RedGate from my production environment. Would the database encounter any limitations using SQL Server 2014 Express Edition?

    Yes, you can use Express, but we really strongly advise against it due to the size restrictions. However, it will function.

    @Grant is correct and further information can be found on the Supported Platforms page from the documentation (see the note under the SQL Server column of the Installing SQL Monitor section regarding purging data more frequently.
