Can't do update because window is all black

I am trying to install updates.

I click the install button in SSMS and I get an install window but it is all black.

This is on
Windows 10
SQL Source Control version 5.6.1.5788
SSMS version 14.0.17119.0

This is what I see

I let that sit for a while and suddenly I am playing Asteroids? That's nice but I really want to install my updates. Do I have to win the game?

    Hi @Marnee, that's really odd--sorry to hear you're running into this issue!

    (You do not need to win the game to update. :) The Asteroids game is an easter egg that happens when you have the "About" box open for more than 30 seconds. )

    Just to confirm, does the black window still come up if you download the installer separately and run it? For example, the SQL Source Control installer here: ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/sqlsourcecontrol/30Jun2017/SQLSourceControl_5.7.6.6321.exe?
