6.0.15 install switches to IIS

After upgrading to 6.0.15, I noticed that the web service switched to Microsoft-IIS/10.0 from Mono.WebServer2/0.4.0.0 on all of my installs even though I specified to use the Red Gate Webserver on install. Though I haven't run into any issues so far in using IIS over the SQL Monitor web services, I found this somewhat surprising because this change was not included in the release notes.

Was this an intentional change?

    Hi DonMan,

Thanks for posting on the Redgate forums.

We have changed from using the XSP web service to using IIS express for the internal web server. This isn't a full IIS installation, you can find more details about this here https://www.iis.net/learn/extensions/in ... s-overview.

That's fine. It's good to know that this was an intentional change. But it would have been nice to have included this in the release notes so that I wouldn't have wasted time trying out to figure out why the install switched to IIS.

Thanks, I've added that to the release notes - apologies that information wasn't there when you needed it
