Hi Chris Gorringe,
Unfortunately, SQL Backup is not compatible with SSAS at this moment in time. We don't provide any products that can achieve this either.
There is a microsoft article http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/28761.ssas-discuss-various-backup-methods-automating-cube-database-s-backup-with-powershell.aspx which might provide you some next steps to achieve this. -
That's really disappointing!
The link you provide to the MS solution is, I think, the one that I started with for a manual approach.
We need a nice UI to backup and restore SSAS - just a hint to you marketing/development team!! -
Hi,
Excuse me that I ask here about SSAS compare but I didn't find forum for this tool. I know that it was archived. Why do you stop development? SSAS Compare is very helpful for us but unfortunately we cannot compare tabular dbs. Will we have any chance to see it revived in nearest time?

We currently do this using SQL scripts as there is no GUI in SSMS to do this. As a result it is not simple (subjective) to set up.
If SQL Backup Pro does not perform this task, do you have a product that does?
Thanks
