Hi eteunisse,
Unfortunately, at this stage, MSA are not supported within SQL Monitor. There is an internal ticket open with our development team SRP-10718 but I can't give any timescales on when this will be implemented.
Apologies for any inconvenience this causes. I will update this thread when I receive some further information. -
Any update on this? Thank you!

No updates as yet I'm afraid, it will be a while before we properly support this, and it's not something that is likely to go into any previous versions such as Monitor 6.
I'd recommend that you head over to the Uservoice and comment on the thread there: https://sqlmonitor.uservoice.com/forums/91743-suggestions/suggestions/19138936-use-group-managed-service-account-credentials-fo, as we use this for prioritising future work.

This would be a nice addition to the other tools as well (if the work done for SQL monitor can be ported to them) such as SQLClone

For what its worth, it is possible. Depending on how granular you want to get with your monitoring accounts. As an example, i created one MSA, installed that account on my base monitor server, started the base monitor service as the MSA ... and then when i register a new server in SQL Monitor, i tell it to use the credentials of the base monitor ... and Voila ! Been monitoring 50+ servers just fine for a while now.

Suggests that it should be possible now or do I misunderstand it?
tried to use a gmsa as server credential, but I cannot -

But in the near future, our infrastructure team will introduce managed service accounts.
I searched through the SQL monitor documentation, but I can not find anything about using a MSA as credential for monitoring a server.
When I see the gui for entering credentials, you need to enter a password when you Specify a Windows Account.
For a MSA You do not have the password. So my question is: Is it possible to use a MSA as a credential for monitoring a SQL server? (And from Win 2012 group managed service accounts)
Kind Regards!
