It is a delete clause at heart. When SQL prompt formatted it, it made some odd assumptions for joins which weren't there if we changed it simply to a select.
Both top and bottom have been formatted. The bottom you can see the changes it just made (incorrectly) in green.
Note that this is a table joining itself again on a different column.
