I suspect the problem is with the RPC data collection. SQL Monitor Base Monitor log files may provide further information. This HELP ARTICLE explains how to locate the SQL Monitor Base Monitor log files, please send an email to support@red-gate.com with 'Support Call #50002' in the subject field of the message and attach a copy of the log file.
Also would you please run the Data Collection method tests from the machine where the SQL Monitor Base Monitor is installed to the machine or machines experiencing the reported problem. This HELP ARTICLE has the details regarding each Data Collection Method and the tests regarding RPC. Likewise please include the results of running the data Collection tests for me to review.

The connection works temporarily, but then fails shortly after. The use is a membef of the admin group and i have tried shutting off the firewall with no progress. Any ideas ?
