copy backup to network

Hi

I really would like to use this "copy backup to network" feature, however, I want it to copy the backup accross a site-to-site VPN link from a server that isn't part of a domain.

I can access the destination in Windows explorer eg \\192.168.3.122\sqlbackupcopy

however, using this in sql backup doesn't work (the test fails).

I'm guessing it's a security issue, but i'm not sure where to start,

Any ideas?

    Thank you for your post.

    I suspect (as you do) that your problem is a permissions problem. The account given to the SQL Backup Agent service, needs to have permissions or rights to write to the network share.
