Thanks for posting. When Data Compare exits, it tries to dispose of all of the temporary files it allocated in the %TMP% folder. Maybe it would help to close Data Compare and run the 'disk cleanup' program in Windows XP and instruct it to delete all of the temporary files, then run Data Compare again and see if it still happens.
