Problem connecting to servers: Server Unreachable

The product is looking pretty good so far, but one big problem I'm having is that I can only seem to connect to 2 of the 3 server's I've tried.

We've got 3 main servers that I'm interested in monitoring: A, B, and C
  • A: Haven't had any problems with this one to speak of.
  • B: Hasn't given any problems, though it somehow got put in the ignore list (I don't remember doing that, but may have done it inadvertently) which confused me for a while. I would go to add the server for monitoring, and it would "fail" silently. Might want to give a message "Server B is currently in ignore list"
  • C: This is the one I'm consistently having problems with, it gives the following error SQL Server unreachable: The multi-part identifier "databases.name" could not be bound.

Configuration: My PC is being used to host the repository as well as the client. I'm connecting to the servers with windows authentication. Using SQL Server authentication didn't seem to help either.

Are there any program or server settings that might be causing this problem?

    Hi mmelgares,
Thanks for your feedback. Regarding your server C, are you using linked servers? If you are, could you forward me the exact error text you are getting? (either via private message or via email at jason.cook@red-gate.com )

    Thanks,
    Jason

    I'm getting the same error

    * SQL Server unreachable: The multi-part identifier "databases.name" could not be bound.

The server that is giving the error does have linked servers configured on it. Please advise.

    Hi philcruz,
I've forwarded you an email with information on an updated build that we believe fixes this issue. If you have any more occurrences of that error with the new build, please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Jason
