I've installed the repository a few times on my local system. The installation appears to go well. When I attempt to connect to the repository it takes a long time and finally gives up with an error message.
[X] Cannot connect to Incident Repository. The computer may not be reachable, switched on, or the Incident Repository service may not be started or installed on that computer.
Since the destination is the same as the host, I can only assume that the computer can reach itself.
If the computer was not switched on, I wouldn't have been able to make the request to connect to itself in the first place.
When I look at my services, I am able to see SQL Response Incident Repository Service is started. This leads me to believe that it is started and installed.
I first tried connected to the Incident Repository by entering my machine name. I have since tried connecting to it via LOCALHOST, my IP address found in ipconfig, as well as a loop back address of 127.0.0.1.
I tried installing it again and was prompted to click finish to uninstall the software.
Has anyone else had problems setting this up as a local repository?
