Hello
I am using SQL backup on several of our production servers. Each server houses 20-50 databases.

On occasion I get error or warning emails indicating problems.

What I would like to see is an email that more clearly targets the issue.

If you are only backing up 1 or 2 dbs, then the current exception email is fine.

In my case where one job backs up multiple dbs, it is mildly irritating to have to parse through all successful messages to determine what the actual warning or failure is.

Maybe you could sort the failure to the top of the email or use some sort of html format that would hilight the problem.

Thanks

I have submitted your feature request as indicated in my earlier post.

I cannot guarantee that your request will gain approval and if the request does obtain approval, what future version of SQL Backup the requested feature will appear in.

I will maintain a watch on the request and update you as required.

    Many Thanks
    Eddie

Maybe you could put this one in a custom reporting FAQ.

I was able to find out where SQL Backup stores its backup history through forum posts. Thanks

Armed with this information, some simple queries and an xsl transform or two, I was able to create a backup reporting solution that fit my needs perfectly.
