profiling dll that is called from microsoft excel

Hi,
I am developing dlls in vb.net and using microsoft excel as a front end. i saw that only executables can be profiled. is it possible to profile a dll somehow when it is called within microsoft excel?

    excel.exe needs to be started and then the dll can be profiled. thanks
