My thought is perhaps that the debugging message is a consequence of some other problem rather than something being thrown by ANTS Profiler.
Just a few questions: Does the webservice run on port 80, and is the webservice running in the Default Application Pool? In the current version of Profiler, you can only profile IIS6 apps if they run in the default application pool. This limitation will disappear in the next version.
