Analysis Services 2005 backup?

Is it possible to backup the microsoft SQL Server 2005 analysis services database?

It does not show up in the regular list of databases for the instance, has it's own configurations, database file file, log file locations etc.

    Thank you for your post into the forum.

    I have also been unable to connect or register a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services Database into the SQL Backup GUI.


    Therefore I suspect you cannot use SQL Backup to backup this type of database. I will confirm this and get back to you.

    I can now confirm that SQL Backup cannot be used to backup SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services Databases.
