Will you be offering a pre-order discount like you did for Prompt 3.0?
-
It just depends on how much of the functionality you might use. I for one will use the SQL formatting all of the time, but none of the pure refactoring much at all, so for $295 (I thought you all were in UK, which is confusing since the price is in dollars American
that might be a bit steep. I really like the code formatting aspect though

I'm curious how that price came about considering SQL Bundle Standard is $490.
Sql Bundle Std is something I'd expect to cost $500. Sql Refactor/Prompt is not.
Would this include life-time updates? -

Ditto. I see this bundle as being the type of thing that would get installed on most developers desktops, whereas the SQL Tools bundle would only go on a select few who are responsible for rollouts. We're only a small shop of 4 developers, but I think we'd all be wanting to use this bundle, whereas only one muggins (me) uses the comparison products.
Also, will there be a "big daddy" bundle that includes refactor/promt/dep as well as the sql pro bundle? -
The cost of the SQL Prompt Bundle, which contains SQL Prompt, SQL Refactor and SQL Dependency Tracker, will be $490 ($613 including 12 months priority support and upgrades) for a single user license.
We are offering early order copies at the discounted price of $350 during the month of October. To order your copy please email sales@red-gate.com.
As usual, we are offering excellent price breaks for 5 and 10 user licenses.
From November, SQL Refactor will be selling for $295 and SQL Prompt for $195. With SQL Dependency Tracker already selling for $295, the pre-release price of $350 offers fantastic value for money. -

Indeed there will be.
From November we will be offering a new subscription service called SQL Professional Toolbelt. It should be the simplest way to get EVERYTHING (and that MEANS everything) we do for SQL Server, now and over the coming year.
At launch of the service there will be all 10 of our SQL tools:-
SQL Compare Pro
-
SQL Data Compare Pro
-
SQL Packager Pro
-
SQL Toolkit
-
SQL Prompt
-
SQL Refactor
-
SQL Dependency Tracker
-
SQL Doc*
-
SQL Backup Pro
-
SQL Log Rescue
The cost of the scubscription is $1,995 and renewals will be $990. This works out at over $6,000 worth of value and constitutes a 65% discount.
There are also benefits both on the end-user side and the purchasing dept side: a simple annual subscription is much easier to process as an overhead, rather than having to plunder capital expenditure budgets for one-off tools purchases.
We're really determined to meet the needs of database professionals for the most comprehensive set of really reliable and simple tools, so you can work exactly the way you want to work.
That means great usability design, fantastic coding and relentless testing.
*SQL Doc will be released in November, two weeks after SQL Refactor -

So for $490 you don't get 12-months of updates (3.0->3.1)? Or are you just talking major updates (3.0->4.0)?Nick wrote:We are offering early order copies at the discounted price of $350 during the month of October.
Does that include 12-months of updates? -
This might work out for us. Especially since we plan on getting Sql Backup and possibly the Sql Log.
If we already have a copy+maint of a bundle, do we get to apply that towards this mega-bundle?
Suppose I just contact sales@red-gate.com, eh? -

$490 will be the cost without priority support and free major upgrades. The total price for the SQL Prompt Bundle with support and upgrades will be $613 ($438 at the pre-order price!).
Of course, you will receive all minor upgrades (3.0->3.1) for free.
If you would like to pre-order, please contact sales@red-gate.com. -
As someone who already owns a number of tools in the "Toolbelt", I hope you'll consider upgrade pricing for existing owners. Also, will there be any early-bird pricing.
Also, since the toolbelt incldues developer licensed vs server licensed products, are there discounts for additional server licenses of the toolbelt products? Should the there be a Developer toolbelt and a Server toolbelt?
However it works out, I'm glad to see you offering a super bundle since I want everything you make! Not a dud in the bunch; once you upgrade SQL Prompt 2.0 that is. -
Glad to say that Greg Tillman took our Dependency Tracker puchase of 5 months into account and juggled the pricing. Bought the bundle a few mins ago!

It will also be available in a bundle with SQL Prompt 3.0 and SQL Dependency Tracker 2.0 for $495.
If you've got any comments about the pricing please post them in this thread.
