Profile Storage Location -> Why Local AppData?

Considering your products would be common amongst corporate employees, and many corporate environments use Romaing Profiles, it seems strange that you would store profile specific data in the 'Local App Data' shell folder.

This folder is deleted upon loggin out in many environments (normally stored on local C:\ drive), meaning that these users have to reconfigure their settings (and anything else stored in this folder) *every time* we log on to a machine.

The AppData shell folder is usually used for this purpose and persists between logins, as it is usally set to a network location (such as a user mapped H: drive).

Could this be altered to the usual shell folder to save us having to reconfigure every time we logon to a machine?

Registry Keys for reference:

* App Data: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData

* Local App Data: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Local AppData

    Thank you for your comments. Currently this setting is not configurable. I will put/push your comments/reasons forward to to be considered for a future SQL Compare release.
