It almost sounds like it's a problem with the project settings that were
last saved by the program. We'll have a look into that.

Yes and no -- In normal cases the cause of the problem has gone, but I believe that if you have an IDENTITY column with no seed and/or increment specified, this exception still gets thrown.
Can you tell us which version you are using? It may be worth running check for updates and getting the latest version and giving that a try. -
Using version 3.3.9.14.
Unfortunately, the check for updates requires authentication to get through the my corporate firewall.
