I have 100 licenses and have not decided if I want to roll out the beta version. On May 02, 2006 I received an email from PromptSQL announcing the acquisition by Red Gate Software. The email states “Unless you opt out, you will be upgraded to SQL Prompt free of charge. Somebody from Red Gate will contact you in the next two weeks with a new serial numberâ€. I have not heard anything yet. There has been a lot of activity on the forum. In a separate email I received: “Your name and email address will NOT be transferred to Red Gate unless you specifically opt in using this web page: http://red-gate.promptsql.com/red-gate/optin.htmlâ€. You could try this.

Red Gate released version 2.0 of SQL Prompt this morning and it is availible from http://www.red-gate.com/products/SQL_Prompt/index.htm.
At this time version 2.0 of SQL Prompt is free - and will be until at least 1st September 2006.

Next, although 1.4 has its share of problems, I'm unclear as to whether I'll be better or worse off with the beta.
One other thing, I stumbled across the ownership change while looking for an update - I never received any notification of the change, or info as to my license status.
Thanks
