Thank you for your forum.
The answer to both you questions is yes.My question is, with "SQL Data Compare" can I:
1. Pick/choose only the tables and columns within the tables to sync?2. Do table and column names have to match or can they be mapped?
I recommend that you evaluate SQL Data Compare in a test environment to see if it meets your requirements. Also always take a backup of the target database before you run the deployment process. You can always then restore the target back the situation it was in prior to the deployment.
The SQL Data Compare help information can be found HERE.
Many Thanks

I am relatively new with my experience with SQL, ASP etc. Apologies if the answer is buried here someplace.
I work for a company with an existing online store. The software that drives it is trash. I can't abaondon it completely as the software also runs the company's back end, inventory control, accounting etc. I did install NOPCommerce but of course it builds it's own tables. The company SQL tables are in the 100s, but aside from the basics such as name, address... I need to have list price, current price and inventory count.
My question is, with "SQL Data Compare" can I:
1. Pick/choose only the tables and columns within the tables to sync?
2. Do table and column names have to match or can they be mapped?
Thanks
