Redgate backup failing

Hello, the backup jobs on a particular server are failing with the following message:
SQL Backup failed with exit code: 518 SQL error code: 0 [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 50000). The step failed.

I've searched the web and forums but can't find an explanation of code 518 - can anyone help?

    Thank you for your support request.

    SQL Backup exit code 518 indicates that the backup file name supplied exceeds 259 characters.

    Please reduce the number of characters used to name the backup file.
