I am a long time user, and I really do like the direction of the changes. good work.

Here is my initial observations, as i jumped in to get a compare done.

1) The menu row appears "scrunched" over to the left.
2) The 'Interactive Help' is a good idea - some issues:
a) When you hover over the Help line itself, it should explain itself, its purpose / intent. It took a little getting use to.
b) If click on one of the compare lines it performs an action - same as if click on the '-' or '+' . This is initially "suprising" behaviour. Need something to help a new user. Maybe a tooltip type popup saying what will happen...
c) Some of the Interactive help is very 'Generic' even though it must know where the mouse is. for example, if hover over 'Actions' button on any row says same text....
d) If scroll down a menu from the menu bar, what is under-neath the menu effects the display in the Interactive Help - i.e. it leaks through...
e) Until I decided to unselect a difference, I could not find the bottom compare section, it suddenly appeared (puff of smoke etc...) when i made a selection. I think it should show by default - to make it obvious and more discoverable...

    Hi Vanram,

    Just to take each point:

    1: Fixed !

    2A: Fixed !

2B: We found that users quickly get used to this, and once they have, it helps them move around the UI far quicker.

2C: Whilst we wanted to be very specific for each element you hover over, the downside is that this could cause a slight performance hit. We felt it was more important to have a UI that was highly responsive.

2D: I'll see if this can get fixed for the final release.

2E: This is to allow maximum room to initially explore the results.

    Hope that helps !

    :-)

2B)agreed- but a tooltip would still help.....
2C)difficult balance - but the whole idea of the new help is to be context sensitive - it is a waste if not specific....
2E)Thats fine, but somehow needs to be more obvious [i feel that this is important!] - maybe show it initially, but make it easy to configure it off, if users want the space. But remember this is really a false saving, as surely that last section is a major part of the purpose of the compare!!!
    Thanks
