How do I change the location where SQL Data Compare stores it's working files when doing a comparison?

I have a large file to compare but limited disk space on the default disk.

Never mind - I was finally able to get to a FAQ that gave me the answer. It would be helpful if this could be selected at the time of the data compare and not affect all other applications that may be using my profiles TEMP folder.

    Hello,

That's not a bad idea, as the default temporary storage location is on the most abused drive on your computer; the system drive.

You have to go into your system properties and change the environment variables so that the TMP variable points to a larger drive. This, of course, affects your whole system.

    Hi there,

in SQL Compare 5/Data Compare 5 it will be possible for the user to set the location for all temp files.

    Thanks,
