Since installing the newest version of SQL Prompt 5.3.8.2 the other day, I noticed that Visual Studio 2012 now crashes on exit every single time. Windows will then pop up a window offering me a solution to the problem - with the recommended solution being to install an update to SQL Prompt, but the update they tell me to install the same as what I already have installed.

I think this same problem is causing SSMS 2012 to crash on exit as well. This is the error I see in the event viewer:
Application: Ssms.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: exception code c0020001, exception address 76CD4B32
Stack:
I think it might be related to this issue: http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStud ... ocess-exit -
FYI, Visual Studio 2012 also crashes for me on exit.

Anu,
So I installed SQL Prompt 6 per your suggestion and it worked, but now it says my trial expired and there doesn't appear to be a place where I can enter my key from when we purchased SQL Prompt 5. What am I supposed to do?

Hi Adam,
We've just released a new Prompt 6 EAP which should have the trial extended to the 30th of September: http://download.red-gate.com/EAP/SQLPro ... Prompt.zip
Thanks,
Aaron. -
Aaron,
What am I going to do when that trial expires? I purchased SQL Prompt 5. I shouldn't have to continue installing trial versions. Is there going to be a patch for SQL Prompt 5?
