unspecified error while trying to profile asp.net 2.0 app

I am using the 14 day eval edition. I have both framework 1.1 and 2.0 on my xp pro machine.

I get the following error when profiler stops IIS and then tries to restart it. The profiler bombs out, and when I look into the event log this is the error message:
Unable to start profiler - exception details
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005):
Unspecified error

at SHCocVw.InternetExplorerClass.get_HWND()
at _63._8()
at _63._1()
at _3._4(IAsyncResult )

I have looked through the forums and reregistered an Ants Profiler dll and an IE dll, but no luck. I have also rebooted, and manually shut down/restarted IIS.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello Eric,

    Can you please try running regsvr32 shdocvw.dll from a command prompt? This could well fix it.

    still no luck - I had done that already, but just did it again. Always the same result.

    Hello,

    The program can't get a handle on the Internet Explorer window to trap events. Next best thing I can think to do is run 'repair' on Internet Explorer.
