Can I Extract Database Scripts from Corrupted Backup?

Will this product enable me to extract database scripts from a corrupted, TDE-enabled backup?

    Hi Rlquigley,
    Thank you for your forum post.

    SQL Compare is able to compare a backup file with a live database, so in your scenario comparing the backup file with a new empty live database you maybe able to extract creation scripts for the database objects.

    Personally I have never tested a TDE enabled backup, let alone a corrupt TDE corrupt backup file. Providing the backup file reader within SQL Compare is able to read the corrupt backup file, you maybe able to extract the data you are seeking.
