SQL Search disabled

I just installed Sql Search, but the button is disabled in SQL management studio. How do I get it to work?

    The SQL Search button is disabled if you don't have a valid database (or child database object) selected in Object Explorer.

    Unfortunately this includes SQL Server 2000 databases; SQL Search is not compatible with SQL Server 2000.
