Hello,
I was just about to post asking for help with getting profiling started. Then I realized it was because of my desktop firewall software.

SO... aside from nagging our "security" person about this, is there any way to work around the firewall? I cannot disable it myself, and if I kill the service, my network access goes away along with it.

Thanks,
Jason

    Hello Jason,

Can you get single ports open on your desktop firewall? ANTS Profiler needs TCP 8086 and 8087.

I will check and see if I can have this done... I cannot change it myself.

My ability to change most settings is disabled. The only thing I can do is add trusted IP addresses and subnets. I tried adding 127.0.0.1 and my actual IP to the list, but that didn't work.

What kind of error do you get? It may not be necessarily because of the firewall...
