I recently moved my ANTS Profiler (v1.30 build 147) to a new computer and I have been unable to use it since.

The application starts fine, but crashes if I click anywhere in the startup/welcome page, including on the links.

Using the menus, I can create a new profiler project and start profiling, but the application crashes when I click anywhere in the results.

What could be the problem?

    Hello Adrian,

If I remember correctly, this happens when ANTS Profiler v1.3 is used on a computer with .NET Framework v2 installed. I think that if you install .NET version 1.1 in addition to 2.0, it should work because ANTS Profiler will run on 1.1.

    That's correct. I have both version 1.1 and 2.0 installed. I installed version 2.0 after 1.1.

Is there any way to get it to work with both installed (like using the supportedRuntime config setting), or will installing 1.1 after 2.0 simply fix the problem?

The install order shouldn't matter. It does in the case of ASP .NET, but not with regular desktop applications. 1.3 may require Framework 1.0. Can you give that a try? Otherwise, you can try the trick of creating a .config file to force Profiler to use the 1.1 runtime as described in the knowledge base:

I've gone down the config file route. It seems to have solved the problem.

    Thanks.
